A house built
to preserve and transmit.
Sanctum Barbelo joins the creative life of a body of literature with the care required to make it intelligible, accessible, and enduring.
An original contemporary framework
Founded by Jermaine Broady, writing as Saint Germain, Sanctum Barbelo encompasses literature, spiritual philosophy, theology, symbolic architecture, educational pathways, and archival preservation.
Its comparative inquiry engages Christianity, Gnostic traditions, Hermeticism, ancient Egyptian religion, philosophy, mythology, and the history of revelation. These influences inform an original contemporary project; they do not make it a reproduction of a single ancient school.
Knowledge through relationship
The library is organized so that readers can see how texts, ideas, symbols, and pathways relate. The Sanctum Atlas gives these relationships a symbolic geography. Reference works clarify vocabulary; study pathways connect reading with reflection and responsibility.
Preservation as a responsibility
The Sanctum’s preservation work emphasizes provenance: identifying the founder-era writings, distinguishing later commentary, and maintaining the integrity of the record as interpretation develops.
The public website introduces the work. Internal governance and archival control materials serve a separate stewardship function.
